Terms and Conditions

Booking and Payment
All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking to secure the requested date and time. Payment must be made via bank transfer. Bank details are provided at the time of booking. A detailed invoice receipt will be sent to you once payment is complete.

Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received.

Pet and Client Information Form Requirement
By proceeding with a booking following a successful meet and greet, you agree to complete and submit a full Pet and Client Information Form prior to the commencement of any services. This form is required for record-keeping, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your pet(s), and to allow me to provide appropriate care based on their individual needs.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will receive a full refund or the amount may be used in lieu for future bookings within 3 months.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the booking will not be refunded.

Access to Property
The client must ensure safe and reliable access to the property (e.g. key, key safe, or access code) at the scheduled time. If access cannot be gained at the scheduled time, the session will still be charged in full.

Pet Health and Behaviour
Clients must inform me of any medical conditions, injuries, behavioural issues, or special requirements prior to booking. Pets must be up to date with vaccinations, flea treatments, and worming where appropriate. I reserve the right to refuse services if a pet is believed to pose a health or safety risk.

Aggressive or Dangerous Behaviour
I reserve the right to cancel or stop a service immediately if a pet displays aggressive, threatening, or dangerous behaviour that may put myself, other animals, or members of the public at risk. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

Emergency Veterinary Care
In the event of a medical emergency, every effort will be made to contact the owner or the emergency contact provided. If the owner cannot be reached, I may seek veterinary treatment if deemed necessary for the pet’s welfare. All veterinary costs and related expenses will be the responsibility of the pet owner.

Insurance
I hold a valid Public Liability Insurance and Pet Business Insurance appropriate for dog walking and pet sitting services within the United Kingdom. This insurance provides cover for accidents or incidents that may occur during the provision of services, subject to the terms and limits of the policy.
However, this insurance does not replace the pet owner's responsibility for their pet’s behaviour, health, or any damage caused by the pet.

Owner Responsibility and Liability
Owners are responsible for ensuring that their pet is well-socialised, properly trained, and safe to be walked or cared for. The owner accepts responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their pet to myself, other animals, people, or property.

Dog Collar, Identification & Legal Compliance
In accordance with the Control of Dogs Order 1992, all dogs placed in my care must wear a secure collar fitted with a clear legible identification tag when in public or outside the owner’s property.
The tag must display the owners name and address including postcode.

Off-Lead Walking
Dogs will only be allowed off the lead in suitable and safe areas with the owner's permission. By agreeing to off-lead walking, the owner confirms that their dog has reliable recall and is safe to be off lead around people, dogs and wildlife. If I feel that it is unsafe to allow a dog off lead, I reserve the right to keep the dog on a lead at all times.

Key Holding and Security
If keys are provided to me, they will be kept securely and used solely for the purpose of providing the agreed services. Keys will be returned upon request or at the end of the service arrangement.

Weather and Safety
In extreme weather conditions (such as severe heat, snow, storms, or icy conditions), walks may be shortened, rescheduled, or replaced with an alternative visit to ensure the safety and welfare of the pet.

Photographs and Updates
Photos and videos with updates of pets may be taken during walks or visits and shared with the owner. These photos may also be used for website or social media promotional purposes unless the owner specifically requests otherwise.

Holiday and Peak Period Bookings
Bookings during peak periods (including school holidays, bank holidays, and major holiday periods such as Christmas and Easter) may require advanced booking and full payment at the time of reservation to secure availability. Availability during these periods is limited and bookings are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Data Protection and Privacy
All client information will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Personal information provided by clients will only be used for the purpose of delivering pet care services, communication regarding bookings and maintaining service records. Client information will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.

Acceptance of Terms
By booking a service, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
